December Already??

Man-oh-man... where has the time gone? Rich and I have been busy with planning and thankfully we are getting close to having most stuff done. And it's Decemeber. I love this time of year and the lights and cheer :)

We went to Trans Siberian Orchestra last week which is always a highlight for me. The lights, music, and excitement. I've gotten to the point, that it really isn't Christmas time until I see TSO. This year was extra special because Mom and Grace joined us. It was their first time seeing it, and their reactions made it more exciting for me. To add to that, the night was even better as we celebrated my mom's birthday. A milemarker in her life - but she probably won't want to be sharing that she just turned 25 (hehe.... well maybe not 25).

Updates from Rich's post:
We did decide on a florist -- but we still need to tell them.

We've also selected our officiant. What a character this man is! The Saturday we met him, he starts be telling us that if we're meeting with him, then we don't want a traditional wedding (true, we don't). He tells us his ideas fr our wedding and tells us about his past and who he is. After all that, we decided he's our guy: seems a little rough around the edges, but as warm and friendly as you can imagine! And his fee goes to his foundation that works in Latin and South American teaching people English and job skills (LOVE IT!!) and his tip for the day of the wedding.... a bottle of single malt scotch, no younger than 15 yrs... that's our kind of guy, so long as he drinks it after the ceremony.

Invitations - we found some cardstock we like and now have to think about wording for the invitations and perhaps try a few different printers... maybe even check out what Kinkos would charge. Definitely don't want to spend lots on money on something people will most likely throw away after the event.

Lots and Lots of Wedding Planning

Sara wrote about our cake tasting a few weeks back. It was fun. After that, we had an engagement photo session that Sara won at a bridal show (I'll never make fun of them again). The photographer did an incredible job and we're going to use the company at our wedding. This is where I don't mind spending some extra money - photos are going to be our view into the wedding in the future.

Thankfully, Sara has been busy setting up appointments and looking at things online in her spare time. I've had trouble keeping up with everything.

Since the cake tasting and photo session, we've gone to two florists for quotes (still need to decide on one) , done some gift registry and have looked at all kinds of invitations. We need to decide how to do the invitations/stationery. Companies charge a lot of money to print things. We can buy patterned paper and print them ourselves. The trade-off is obviously the time involved. I'd rather spend my time doing the stationery at home instead of paying someone an exorbitant fee to do it for me.

Now is the time to be looking for and buying decorations too. Prior to Sara's busy season (Jan-Apr), I want a plan in place to set up and execute projects. Getting the materials now would go a long way toward ensuring success of those projects.

Wedding Planning Update

This past Saturday was a huge day for us in terms of planning.... we picked out our cake!! Yummy! Thanks to Mom for joining us as we needed her opinion. Especially since cake isn't Richard's favorite thing. But we picked out some flavors that will please him (and me too!)

After the cake choosing, we had engagement photo's taken. We hadn't planned on doing engagement photos due to the additional cost and that we have so many pics of us already. But 2 weeks ago, I got a phone call saying we were chosen from a drawing I entered at a bridal show. We won a **FREE** Engagement photo session! So last minute (like last Thursday) we decided to have the pics done on Saturday cuz we knew the weather would be beau-ti-ful.. and it was. I was planning on wearing a cute little brown jacket over the shirt, but it was just too hot for that. I love that on Nov 1 in Colorado, we can have 70 degree days.

Our Little Niece is not so Little!

Where did the time go? Really, I remember the 3:30am birth of Emma Jade on Oct 24 three years ago. It seems like yesterday and she isn't even my daughter. Rich was such a tropper for only having dated for a few months. He joined me at Bren's surprise baby shower, almost won the drink out of a bottle game and then stayed at the hospital with us through the entire 24 hour labor. I can't image what it will be like when we have kids - but until then....
Happy Birthday little Emma-Bug! Aunty Sara and Uncle Rich love you to pieces. You are such a little spitfire and you are so sure of what you want. You always make us smile. And while it hasn't been easy to adjust to being a big sister - you are doing a marvolous job.

You're 3!!!!

Halloween!

Not a whole lot of time to blog, but here's us at Halloween. I was a witch and Ricky was V. We went to a party some of my co-workers had at their apartment. We had lots of fun and enjoyed our Crown & Cokes :)

First Snow of the Season!

This week is a big week for me. I'm at my first client in Cripple Creek, Colorado and I saw my first snow of the season.

The first snow of the season is always a happy day for me, mainly because I know that Richard will stay up all night waiting for the snow to start. Since he's still in Boulder this week, and they didn't get any snow I know that he wasn't up all night waiting. When I awoke Wednesday morning though, I knew that Rich would have been so excited to see the snow out my hotel window and even though it's freezing cold, it still makes me happy. Rich is like a little kid in a candy store with the first snow and really any other big weather event - he gets so excited that the excitement spills over and fills me up too :) To my weather loving, fiance - I took this one in for you and knew you'd love to be up here with me.

Today our team is awaiting our client bringing in a 500lbs pumpkin! We can't wait to see it - even though we're not auditing it. It's just a little something different to add to the week here. Last night while at dinner at Rooster's, a very nice steakhouse for the little town, we met the mayor of the town. Quite a nice man but he could tell immediately that we were not from around here - dressed nice, no winter boots, and well we just kinda stick out like a sore thumb compared to the locals.

Hugs

It is not uncommon for me to be told, "Wow, you give great hugs!" or something along the great hugs. I was thinking about why that was recently and recalled a memory long ago stored away:

In late middle school and into early high school one of my friends, Brooke, from our group of 4, became friends with Chelsea. So as young girls work, we were all "friends" with Chelsea. Chelsea was a very tall slender blond girl, who was always flirting with a new flavor of the week but I was never convinced that she really was or wanted to be friends with the rest of the group. As it was during our friendship we would all give eachother hugs, whether in greeting or just cuz someone needed a hug. But whenever I received a hug from Chelsea, it felt as though it was something she was being forced into. Her hugs were so light, it was as though she didn't want to touch us. Which gave the oppposite effect that I beleive a hug should give. I believe that after receiving a hug, the hugee should feel loved and cared for by the huger. It should bring them joy and if needed comfort. It should be welcoming. After hugging Chelsea, I would feel as though I wasn't good enough, as though she didn't like me, didn't want to touch me, didn't care about me. All the things a hug should never be. So it was then, I made a conscience decision, to give good hugs: Sqeeze tight, hold or a second, and take the time to hug my hugee. I never anyone to feel like I did after receiving a hug from Chelsea, when they receive a hug from me.

I've found that giving "great hugs" makes people happier. It cheers them up and it cheers me up in return to have made someone smile. I think our society often orgets about those little things that can make a person's day. So I use hugs to welcome people I know an care about, to help support my friends, and to show those I love, that I love them.

So my friends, Hug on!

Intro and Planning

I've meant to post things here since Sara created the site, which I thought was an awesome idea. I decided today to do just that. I couldn't be more excited to begin a family with Sara. I'm excited to join her family and hope she's excited to join mine (more friends than blood, really). The place we're having the marriage ceremony is beautiful. Tux styles and colors were chosen, leading to the primary color being burgundy, which as Sara said looks really good with us. I thought I would wear more of it, but I guess that's not the way these things work...

We want to get registered for stuff and decided to start by taking pictures of things so we can look at them at our leisure and plan our future place out now. We started with the bedroom. Yikes! We have very different thoughts on what a bedroom should contain, let alone the style and look of it. Good thing we decided to talk about these things before registering. I'm glad Sara wants my opinion and isn't just choosing everything for us, even though I giver her a hard time while we're looking.

So we have a few ideas in mind for room themes and am working on negotiating what's in and what's out of our future bedroom. We looked through some kitchen things while we were out. That was much nicer - we have similar opinions on styles. We both prefer classic looks to dishes and silverware, things that will still look nice in 10, 20 and 30 years. Maybe a cafe theme for the kitchen? There's so much to look through and decide! It's all very overwhelming...

The week continued to be busy as we did some looking for wedding bands. I settled on a nice piece. Our preference for a classy/elegant look is in direct contrast to jeweler's attempts to put as much stuff into one ring as possible, be it the engagement ring or the wedding ring. So finding something for Sara proved to be a little tougher. We left with some ideas, but no ring yet for her.
The next night, we went to a presentation from a crystal/china company. It turned out better than I thought it would. We decided on some very nice cookware, knives, a casual china dining set, a couple of crystal glasses and some very nice toasting glasses! We'll start out good, that's for sure.

Amazingly, not every retailer has a good selection of bedding options, as we found out this morning. Too girly, thank you very much. It looks like we'll take a closer look at options from Location #1 before making a decision.

There's tons of choices to make still. One at a time...

Dress Up!

When I was a little girl, I would always go into my mom's closet and come out wearing her heals. I LOVED getting all dressed up in her things whether fancy or pretending that I had to go to work. I always thought it so sophisticated to get to wear a suit to work and be a grown-up.

Now after 4 weeks working, I still feel like I get to dress up everyday and I still love it. Something about wearing heals and knowing that you look nice, always puts me in a good mood. It's also a big transition from my college days of jeans and huddies or whatever shirt I grabed from my closet. Not to say that I was a slob in college, I just always worn jeans and sneakers rather than dress pants and heals.

I smile every morning as I get off the 16th street mall bus and walk 1 1/2 blocks to my office. I'm still just a little girl at heart, playing dress up with Mom's shoes.

Job Update

So I've just spent the last 3 weeks training with MP. Last week I was in St Charles, IL and was learning how to audit cash and accounts payable. A training that could probably have been done in 3 days rather than 5. They are working on re-vamping the training process, but in the end, I am a firm believer that you're not going to learn how to use a piece of software unless you are actively using it in the real world. It is there, that I'll start to learn what is overall happening and the short cuts. In a training room with 40 other people, you can only learn so much.

This week was my first full week in Denver! I LOVE taking the bus. I don't have to worry about parking, driving, road rage, or any of that other stuff. I just show up, get on, then either read or nap :)

We did more training but more applicable to the Denver office and more geared to what I would really need to know. Instead of having a partner who rarely actively uses the software teach us, we have a person a level above us do it and she knows her shit about the stuff. Everything was useful and practical.

All to say I'm having FUN!

And the color choice is...

BURGUNDY for our wedding.

I realize that being a June wedding, burgundy isn't the popular color choice as it's more of a winter shade, but it looks good on both Rich and I and we think it'll look really classy :)

So now we have a date, location, and color..... now onto the smaller details.

My New Job

So I know it's been a while since I last blogged. And in that time I have:
- Moved ... the cats love having another person to serve them and sleep on :)
- Started New Job
- Went to Des Moines for training.

So I'm now sitting in yet another orientation and well... I'm bored. Starting a new job while is fun, includes lots of little HR things and general training. I've now been an official employee for 3 days and really haven't gotten to get my feet wet. But that happens... it's really a learn as you go job. I do get to know to Chicago next week for more training, and when I say Chicago, I really mean close to it, but won't be able to go to the city at all. Anyway who knows what we'll learn so it could be fun!

Time for Travel

I have now officially started the month of travel! It started at the end of July with a wonderful trip to Puerto Vallarta with my mom. It was a wonderful week spent reading and relaxing. Mom and I both needed time away and for us, Puerto Vallarta is paradise. We generally spent the mornings on the beach, then the late afternoons in the pool. We ate at our favorite places and never felt rushed around. I was able to read 3 books: Something Borrowed, The Red Tent, and Consent to Kill. I highly recommend all of them! At the resort, there is a little zoo with pumas, tigers, parrots, and monkeys. The puma's just had a little cub. He was so cute. We caught him one day stalking his momma's tail.

Now Rich and I are in Estes Park for a week. We'll do some hiking, reading, and some planning for the future. We're hoping to figure out where we want to get married and then set a date!! YAY! We're staying at the Worldmark up here, and we have both found it leaves something to be desired. Our "unit" is incredibly small and the "kitchen" is almost non-existent. It'll work and we'll still be cooking in the unit instead of always eating out.

We'll be off to San Diego next week for my cousin's wedding. So excited for them. I'm sure I'll blog more about the trip later with the fam. After that I have a week to move and get things set up at my mom's house before starting work. Wow, what a month. I think I need a nap and a glass of wine now.

Honeymoon!

Was fabulous!

Richard and I made a deal about a year ago, that whenever we got married, I would plan the wedding and he would plan the honeymoon.... and that the honeymoon would be a surprise. So on June 11, we were married and it was everything that I've always wanted. I felt gorgeous, Richard was extremely good looking in the tux (I wasn't sure about the black shirt with white tie ... but it was awesome) and we had a blast. We got to see friends (went to fast) and got to swing dance ( I didn't keep my frame well but we had fun), really it was perfect. From the feedback we've received everyone also had a great time ... but people always tell you that. Then that night we got hooked up at a local hotel, the Omni... with Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.

The next morning, we did what any new married couple would do.... went home and mowed the lawn! I know romantic, right? But it needed to be done before we left and we always do it together. It also gave us (read Richard) time to finish packing and prepping for the honeymoon.

SAT AM - we go to the airport and I find out we're going to Tampa, FL. I'm thinking, really Tampa? Why Tampa of all the places for a surprise honeymoon. But I keep my thoughts to myself cuz who knows what Richard has planned...

We arrive in Tampa, get on a shuttle bus and head downtown to our hotel. During the shuttle ride the driver is asking all kinds of questions and I learn that no, we're not in town to go on a cruise, while we are here for the beaches we're staying just about as far away from them as we could get and we didn't rent a car ... interesting honey!

So we go to a nice dinner that night since it is our honeymoon and all... there Richard breaks down and tells me that we are in deed GOING ON A CRUISE!!!! And not just any cruise, but a Western Caribbean 7 day Cruise to Grand Cayman, Belize, and Isla Roatan, Honduras! Couldn't have been a better place for our honeymoon.

We just got on the boat and thy handed us drinks!

Cruising around on the boat, checking things out

We spent much time sitting in these chairs, reading, napping and laughing

Dancing in the club :)

Port #1 - Grand Cayman Island

We went snorkeling here ... look how clear it is.

Port #2 - Belize

Sharing a Coke over lunch

Mayan Ruins of Belize

Port #3 - Roatan Island - Honduras
Our favorite!

Swimming with Dolphins

Kisses

More Dolphin kisses

The best beach EVER!

Last day on the boat

Every night at dinner our steward would make a towel animal, but on the last night we got a heart. He must have figured out we were honeymooning.
My favorite animal of the trip was the monkey - he was awesome!

Florida Aquarium - We spent our last day here until we had to go to the airport. It was an amazing honeymoon! Way to go Rich!

And the Studying Continues...

So this week, I have been living in my Becker CPA review book for the Business section. Sorry I could only find a pic of the auditing book. Same thing though, just a red cover... Oh and for the non-accountants out there: CPA = Certified Public Accountant.

I can say that I cannot wait to be done taking the CPA exam. I'm almost entirely burnt out on studying and memorizing the material. The only thing keeping me going is that if I pass this next exam, I should be done with the exam portion of my CPA requirements.

I often wonder how those who are working and studying to take the exam do it. I can't imagine working 8 hours a day doing accounting then finding the energy to study. Given - I did work earlier this summer and found it hard to study. I was in an office where I could study some at work and the work wasn't all that challenging for me, so I still had some brain power left at the end of the day.

Good news though: I have for sure passed 2 of the 4 tests. I took one on the 14th of July and will take one next week. Assuming I pass, I'm done after next week (HOORAY!!) I've heard rumors that the grading time will increase so I hope to find out about the scores by Oct.

On the family front: my sister, Grace, and her boyfriend just got back from Mexico on Tuesday then were both in the ER last night from either Ecoli or Salmonilla... so G is home today sleeping and I'm playing the caretaker role of fetching prescriptions, turning on movies, and occasionally getting water for her. Not sure where they got it from in Mexico cuz we've never had an issue in the last 13 years or so of going down there...

Back to the great red book now.

Heading Back to Colorado

While we've been in Austin, Matt and my Mom split kitty watching duty. THANK YOU!! It was such a huge help to us.. and I know the kitties appreciate being fed daily.

This morning they wrapped up the conference and I packed up and prepared to head back home to Colorado. While Austin was fun to visit, I'm ready to be back home. I think next time I travel to this part of the country, I will be doing so November.

Yesterday I managed to leave the AC of the hotel and explore a little (pics to come). I headed over 3 or 4 blocks to a little Mexican restaurant that was highly recommended by locals for lunch. I sat down and asked for a coke. nope no coke served there, but they do have Blue Sky soda. So I had that but I think a coke would have tasted better. I had the enchiladas rojas - chicken. Good food. A great lunch if you're in a hurry as the food came out very quickly. After lunch I strolled another few blocks away from the hotel and walked back another the river front. They call it a lake here, but really it's a river. The previous night, Rich and I walked down to the river front by Congress St. Bridge to see the bats. At dusk these bats who live in the bridge by day come out to hunt. Amazing! We must have seen 150,000 bats, and they don't just all come out from the bridge at once. They flow out in a line at the banks of the river and fly just above the trees. Then eventually they spread out to eat. I'm so glad we took the time to do that.

Dinner last night: Fogo de Chao. Much like Rodezio in Denver and as we called it: Meat on sticks! Amazing dinner, but also a little more expensive then expected. But well worth it. It was Richard's and mine celebration together since we haven't really done that since our engagement, along with 5 others joining us. Fillet mignon wrapped in bacon would be the favorite. YUM!

Okay time to socialize with the other bloggers around.

Austin, Texas

We're in Austin this week..... and well that being said... it's HOT!! I know it's Texas and supposed to be hot, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it. Really its the humidity that kills me. I can handle the dry 100 degree temps in Colorado, but add 85% humidity and I'm not a happy camper.

We arrived yesterday with no issues and took the bus from the airport to our hotel for a whapping $0.50. Probably the best money spent. We only had to walk about 2 blocks from the bus stop to the hotel and if I weren't wearing jeans, it would have been fine. Given the whole wearing jeans part, I was warm (see above) and thrilled once we hit the AC. How people live without it in the south, I'll never know. We checked in at both the hotel and the conference then decided that food had to be in our future. From many recommendations, we tried Iron Works BBQ. It was good BBQ but they didn't have AC and I overheat quickly so couldn't fully enjoy the meal. Walked back to the hotel and spent many hours online in the lobby. Much of which was spent talking with other bloggers attending Netroots Nation. I was interviewed for an XM type radio. I tried (HARD) to get them to interview Rich since he's really the blogger and I'm not so much but they wanted to hear from me. I don't really get involved with the political blogging, but the guy wanted to hear about the blogging I do, which led to this site, which led to me reading this post. Hopefully, I don't sound like too much of a dork.

Today, I spent most of the by myself while Rich was attending sessions at the conference. I joined them for lunch at a local mexican food place but otherwise stayed inside. I went to workout and was shocked that they charge to use the gym here. So I opted for the $15 for the whole trip instead of $10/day usage. I'm hoping this will motivate me to use the gym daily since I am paying for it. I also got chapter 1 of the BEC Becker CPA book studied. My goal is to get a chapter a day done so that I'll be ready for the exam on the 29th. Now, I think I need a martini...

Weekend of Fun...

So this weekend, we made our down to Larkspur, CO for the Renaissance Festival. We chose a great weekend to go as it was only in the upper 70's and low 80's and found some great buys. We also found out some good friends of mine also just got engaged!! Congrats to Malea & Clark.

To start the day, Rich and I drove the 1hr-ish drive together and got to spend some time together just the 2 of us. We were able to talk about life and start discussing wedding details. Even though we have agreed that I'll plan the wedding and he gets the honeymoon, I still want his input on things as it is his wedding as well.

We found this great little stand: Garlic Festival, where they sell amazing spices made with... GARLIC. We highly recommend the jalapeƱo pickled garlic. Then made our way over to the steak on a stake place for lunch :) Yummy!! I also enjoyed cheesecake on a stick dipped in chocolate for lunch. While it was yummy, I don't recommend eating it in the heat of the day.

We did more than eat too.... Rich found a ring that he has been looking for to go on his middle finger. Somehow the cats have managed to steal his old ring and a replacement was needed. Rich also found a black cape. Another item which has been on his to get list for a while.

Sunday was spent studying for my exam on Monday. I don't feel confident that I passed, but I don't think I bombed it either... I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Anyway, now we're off to Austin TX for Netroot's Nation over the weekend.

The Proposal

It was a perfect proposal!

When we first started dating we would take walks in the afternoon at work. It was on these walks that we really got to know each other. As we would walk, he would always point out cool spiderwebs, flowers, butterflies, or other things that he wanted to make sure I saw. Over the years we've continued to take these walks in the afternoons when its nice outside.

So on July 7, Rich came by my office to take our afternoon walk. It was a little later than usual, but I'm always up for spending quality time with him. So we walked over to the park and sat under the gazebo for a while. He was being extra tender and sweet which wasn't all that out of sorts since he does that some days. Well it was starting to rain, so we decided to head back to the office. As we're walking back and he stops and bends over and says "hey Sara look at this" as he typically does when pointing out something and I'm thinking okay its raining, we're getting wet, and I don't see what your pointing at and have no idea what I'm supposed to be seeing, so I say "what am I looking at?" A typical response from me when I'm not sure what I'm supposed to see. So Rich is down on one knee "pointing out" this cool thing and then all of a sudden he turns back towards me and flips this gorgeous ring around and says "here" to get me to look at this "cool thing." I started freaking out.... he'll have to fill in the details, but breathing in shock, crying, smiling, etc.... Rich has this great speech prepared and of course I'm freaking out too much to really remember it all, but I got good parts and of course said YES!

Note: The pic was taken from my phone, so not the best quality. I'll try to get a better one posted later

Final Days...

So not only did we get engaged this week (!) but it is also my last week as a student assistant. I've been working here for 3 years and it seems odd to close this chapter. It has been a GREAT student job: pick my hours, study when needed, and no weekends or evenings. Really it couldn't have been better. I met Richard here and have been able to see him almost everyday during the day since his office is about 50ft down the hall from my cube.

I've been looking forward to this day for some time now. I think I was really ready to be done here last summer after my boss left. I was left training both her replacements and then worked on an interesting project where I learned some linux and other useful skills to put in my toolbox. I had some projects to wrap up and did so last week, so now I'm just cleaning things up - my computer, desk, files...etc.

I will miss my friends here and really will miss lunches with the boys and randomly poking my head in Richard's office just to say hi. But this marks my step into the "real adult world." I'm done with school and am ready to begin my career. Before I do so however, I'm taking 7 weeks to myself of which I have to following plans: STUDY (2 more CPA's this month), pack and move back to mom's house for a year or so, travel to many places, relax, read a FUN book since I haven't had to opportunity in a while ... any suggestions? I loved the Vince Flynn series... anti-terrorism, CIA , could never really happen but an interesting story none-the less.

FAQ's

Why start a blog?
I have been threatening to do so for a while now and this seems like a great way to start. Hopefully family and friends will be able to keep up on what's going on in our lives and with the wedding planning.

Who are you?
I just got my master's in accounting. I'm working on passing the CPA exam before starting my career as an auditor (I know, a scary word). I've already passed 2 of the 4 parts surprisingly and take the next 2 this month.
Richard does scientific research and LOVES his job. He is always pointing out cool weather things and is trying to teach me a little something about the thing he loves. His passion for life amazes me.

Where did you meet?
At work! I've spent the past 3 years working as a student assistant right down the hall from Richard. We met my first day there. My supervisor, Kim, was showing my the files where we kept all the information I would need and Richard was walking into work with his tray full of breakfast: eggs, bacon, and hash browns. I was immediately attracted to him and he says that I "was the hottest thing to hit the division" or something like that.

When did you meet?
March 2005

How long have you been dating?
Since June 2005

How did Richard propose?
Perfectly! When we first started dating we would take walks in the afternoon at work. It was on these walks that we really got to know each other and he would always point out cool spiderwebs or other nature points of interest that he wanted to make sure I saw. Well it was starting to rain, so we decided to start walking back to the office. So we're walking back and he stops and bends over and says "hey Sara look at this" as he typically does when pointing out a spiderweb. I'm thinking okay its raining, we're getting wet, and I have no idea what your pointing out, so I say "what am I looking at?" A typical response from me when I'm not sure what I'm supposed to see. So Rich is down on one knee "pointing out" this cool thing and then all of a sudden he turns back and flips this gorgeous ring around and says "here" to get me to look at this "cool thing." I started freaking out.... he'll have to fill in the details, but breathing in shock, crying, smiling, etc.... Rich has this great speech prepared and of course I'm freaking out too much to really remember it all, but I got good parts and of course said YES!

When is the big day?
No idea yet.... we haven't talked those details but we're thinking Summer 2009-ish

Just Gettin' Started

Rich just popped the question on 7/7 and now we're starting our journey together. We both have known this day was coming for a while and have been anticipating our life together for some time. I could not be happier to get to call myself his fiance, knowing that I'll be his wife and he, my husband!

I've been threatening to start a blog for a while and this seems like the perfect opportunity. I've never been good at keeping a journal or diary, so we'll see if I actually keep up on things here. More to come later... promise. Perhaps an FAQ as requested by a friend.
